Jonathan Reckford, CEO of Habitat for Humanity International, visited Denver recently to observe the work of Habitat's sucessful local affiliate and to meet with local supporters at the home of Ireland Stapleton lawyer Russell Kemp (see picture)
Russell Kemp has donated pro-bono legal representation to Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver, Inc. for 10 years and currently serves on the Board of Directors and as Secretary of the orgaization. Ireland Stapleton is proud to support the mission of Habitat for Humanity, to build simple, decent and affordable homes financed with no-interest loans.
Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver, Inc. completed the acquisition of its new headquarters building June 30, 2010, with the pro-bono assistance of lawyers from Ireland Stapleton. Russell Kemp and Sarah Benedict worked on the negotiation and closing of the deal, structured as a lease/purchase option, for more than 18 months.
