Biography

James J. Killean is an officer, director and shareholder with the law firm of Ireland Stapleton Pryor & Pascoe, PC and has been with the firm since 2004. Mr. Killean represents a variety of clients in a broad range of real estate transactions, including complex acquisition and sales, ranch operation and management, oil, gas and alternative energy development, commercial and residential leasing, construction, land use planning and development. Mr. Killean also advises clients on general corporate governance matters, mergers and acquisitions, and private debt and equity financing.

Prior to joining Ireland Stapleton, Mr. Killean worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Wyoming, where he represented the Wyoming Board of Land Commissioners and the Office of State Lands and Investments in various matters involving public lands, including land and mineral sales, exchanges and leases, land use permits, oil and gas matters, mineral royalty payments, and timber and forestry contracts.
