Mr. Miller is best known for untangling difficult and complex business transactions. He has a diverse practice and serves as "general counsel" to numerous entrepreneurs, family business owners and other privately-held companies.
Mr. Miller has represented both private and public companies in numerous complex merger and acquisition transactions, finance transactions, joint ventures and business restructurings. Mr. Miller has represented issuers and investors in private placements of debt and equity securities, including venture capital and private equity financing, and he regularly counsels clients on business formation and other general corporate and contract related matters. Mr. Miller also enjoys advising clients on real estate related transactions, including foreclosure and workout matters, in addition to environmental compliance, due diligence, risk assessment and indemnification matters.
Mr. Miller is a member of Ireland Stapleton's Executive Committee. Prior to joining Ireland Stapleton in 2004, Mr. Miller was an attorney for 11 years at the Wisconsin-based law firm of Reinhart, Boerner & Van Deuren, s.c., practicing in the firm's Denver, Madison, and Milwaukee offices.
