Mr. Larson joined Ireland Stapleton Pryor & Pascoe, PC in 2009 after graduating in the top five percent of his class from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Mr. Larson maintains a diverse practice in the Environmental, Energy and Natural Resources; Real Estate; and Business practice areas of Ireland Stapleton. He counsels parties regarding compliance with NEPA, ESA, CWA, NHPA, and CERCLA; advises lenders and other clients on environmental compliance issues associated with real estate transactions and acquisitions; and works with businesses on land use and zoning issues. Mr. Larson's real estate work includes foreclosure, workout, and indemnification matters including related litigation. Mr. Larson also advises clients on business related transactions such as business formation and other general contract related matters.
Mr. Larson has worked with regulatory agencies on a major Brownfield redevelopment project and provided extensive environmental compliance analyses to local government regarding a large-scale ski area development. He has also represented project proponents and opponents in the NEPA process. Moreover, Mr. Larson worked on matters before the Colorado Public Utilities Commission relating to transmission and renewable energy infrastructure.
During law school, Mr. Larson served as an extern for the Honorable John L. Kane, Jr. in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Colorado, and Governor Bill Ritter's Office of Legal Counsel.
